I have been here twice for lunch and both times it was very good. Easy to pick good local places like this because the parking lot is full at 11:30.
As I like chopped steak (glorified hamburger patty), I chose this with smashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfect served with grilled onions and green peppers. It was a 10 ounce patty and tasty. The potatoes were pretty good even though they were instant, but not the overpowering "instant" taste. I also had a salad which was excellent.
They were smiling and welcomed me when I went in the door. I sat in the bar as there were quite a few people in the dining area and wanted to watch TV. Waitress was very good and attended to my needs. Gonna be a regular stop for me when in Kirksville. -

We dropped in to visit friends and with a party of 8 they quickly accommodated. The food was tasty and the service was good for a Saturday afternoon. Beat part was spending the afternoon with friends. The 6oz sirloin I had was cooked perfect and the vegetable and potato was great. Nice reasonably priced meal.

I've been to Colton's twice for dinner while in town visiting. Both times it has been incredibly busy. Both times I ordered a sirloin steak. In terms of the food, the steak was cooked properly to order and was good, but not real out of the ordinary for being a steak house. I really like the sweet potato side with brown sugar and butter, the side salad, and the delicious warm bread you get with each meal. The Mac n cheese side was pretty good. They're margaritas are very reasonably priced and delicious. They have a decent amount of beers on tap. The servers have been nice. It's got a good atmosphere and is a good place to go for dinner on pretty much any night. They also has a bar with about 12 seats if you prefer bar seating.

The food was ok. It seems like they stole the menu from the outback. The service was great, the young lady cleaning the bar and serving us was entertaining. The restaurant is clean and the bar has plenty of room for a few friends to chill and have a drink and meal.

We were greeted at the door and our party of five was seated promptly on a Saturday afternoon.
There was a bucket of peanuts in the shell on the table similar to Texas Road House.
Service was excellent. Probably a local college student...he was friendly, offered suggestions when asked, attentive to all of our needs including keeping the bread basket full and glasses topped off.
Our food was served hot and fresh. Steaks cooked to order, delicious fried okra (we had to order more), salads were fresh and crisp, generous portions....we left full and happy.
